Tips for bridal and groom preparations.
The Morning of
When you decide where you want to get ready, you already know who is going to be with you in the morning of. . Your very own squad..!!
I cover all love the London, East, South and all of the UK for Wedding photography. I also have a little blog post here which will help you on the venues planning too ! https://theorigamifox.co/roshniphotography/venues-around-hertfordshire-with-outdoors-ceremony-license/
As a passionate photographer, I truly believe that the location of your preparations serves as a beautiful backdrop for capturing your unique story. I am genuinely excited to ensure that every meaningful detail—whether it’s your stunning dress, intricately designed rings, elegant invitations, or the heartfelt notes filled with love—is artfully documented.
To create the best images possible, I make it a priority to arrive early on the day of your preparations. This extra time allows me to soak in the atmosphere and seize those fleeting, candid moments as they naturally happen. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to get to know the space, ensuring I can highlight its charm in your photographs.
Moreover, this early arrival gives me the chance to connect with your bridal party or groom’s party, helping to foster a relaxed and joyful environment. I am truly enthusiastic about capturing the narrative of your day from its very first moments!
As your makeup artist works their magic and your bridal party or suit designer fine-tunes your look, I’d love to take a moment to introduce myself to them. Celebrating their artistry enriches the story we’re weaving together. With your vision coming to life all around us, I’m dedicated to documenting these precious moments, ensuring we create lasting memories of this wonderful journey you’re about to embark on!
Did someone mention coffee? Nothing kick-starts my morning quite like a delicious cup! I sometimes bring my own to ensure I’m never without my favorite brew. If your wedding is at the same location where you’re getting ready, what a treat! I love wandering the grounds, envisioning beautiful photo opportunities, and delighting in the transformation of the ceremony space as it’s beautifully decorated. Reflecting on the incredible venues I shot at in 2024-25 fills me with gratitude, especially for the wonderful friendships I’ve formed along the way. It’s always a joy to connect with new people and support our vibrant community!
The morning preparations: the best tip I can give is to make sure you have your bridal party or groomsmen with you as soon as you are all ready, so I can get the shots of you all getting involved. Also, have a drink before you walk down the aisle for the ceremony. I capture the natural moments and the in-between times when you’re enjoying a good conversation. Parents who can attend the preparations are also crucial if they can pop down for a little while. Not too long, just 5 minutes; I’m sure they will have enough on their plate on the day.
Another tip is to give me 5-10 minutes alone with you so I can take some portraits of you in the setting we are in or take you to a quiet place to get some shots. I tend to use mostly indoors, near a window or some stairs if they are available.
All in all, the top tip is to enjoy the morning with your pals and let me capture all the silliness and laughter of the day.
